Google maps suggests this route as shortest to kolli hills while driving down from attur. But make no mistake. Select the 2 other alternate but slightly longer routes which are much more smooth and safe compared to this. I had to back trace about 40kms after I found myself stuck here. These roads are still being layed and beyond a point literally non existent as of december 2020

CAUTION: Road is virtually non existent and is more like a hill trail. It is close to impossible to make a U-Turn after you go beyond this. I took the route in 2017 when Google Navigation suggested. Going by car can be very risky and my recommendation is to strictly avoid this after dark. Only local two wheelers take this route. The elevation drop is more than 250m for a 2 KM stretch with the trail being very narrow and steep falls around corners. If you have arrived at this point, I would suggest to go back to Kulivalavu or Ariyursolai whereby you would have wasted 40KM but trust me, you wouldn’t regret doing so rather than taking this road to the forest check point.
This route does not have a thar road and its muddy.. during our visit last weekend the rain had washed away the soil leaving it a tough terrain for vehicles to cross.. Vehicles that have a higher ground clearance and 4WD can pass through.. other vehicles please avoid this route or exercise caution.. its too narrow to reverse and re-trace the path.. we had a tough time. Hope we get a nice thar road here which will make this a shortest route to Kolli hills..
The unpaved road is not suitable for normal cars. SUV type vehicle is advisable.
