Being genuinely interested in travel to places that are forgotten or faded through pages of history makes you marvel about the lost glory. Aundh (Satara) is my village, I think best time to visit in Winter Season because, Weather was really awesome and also in month of january there was Yamai Devi festival (Yatra).
