The gates of Hell!!!! I have stayed at many places and this location was like nothing I have ever experienced. It was like entering the gates of Hell. Outside was a slum. There is no other word to use other than slum. The room was open air grates to the slum and pollution outside. It was a very crowded loud and dangerous environment. Many suspicious people trying to scam you. The noise was unbearable. You could hear every conversation outside and inside the building. Many people were up late slamming things and yelling. I didn’t get any sleep my time there. There were no towels and no soap provided. I have stayed at places across east Asia for the similar price and was surprised at how run down the room was. The only positive was some of staff were helpful and kind. They helped us connect cellphones and get us train tickets far away from Delhi. They will try and sell you vacation packages. I didn’t purchase any packages based on the condition of the place. I would honestly just avoid Delhi at all costs. All I saw of Delhi was terrible conditions everywhere. Fly in Delhi and get out quick.

Well this incident is about one year old, we arrived at 11:30 and were told to wait as there were no empty bed. One of the guests told us that there was an empty unused bed and she was checking-out so we could use her locker too. We had some important work and asked the staff to put our luggages in room locker. The receptionist told us that we couldn't use lockers unless we checked in and to check in we would have to wait till the dorm was cleaned. He gave us a waiting time of 1 hour suggesting to go for lunch as the usual check out time was 12:00 and ½ hour for cleanup. We had booked the room for a quick shower and to store our bags in the locker. So we left the luggage in common room and left for work. Then we arrived in the evening after finishing our deal and decided not to stay as my friend felt the staff was rude and unprofessional. After we arrived to take our luggage, the receptionist insisted to pay for the room and we argued that since they didn't allow us to check in and use the room facilities, why would we need to pay! He then called the so called manager and other staff and they started to argue while threatening to call the police. So in the end we had to pay and move on.

I booked a double deluxe room for 4 nights but actually, when they saw I was a single traveler, they wanted to shifted me in a tinny room without windows, justifying by an upgrade room due to some over booking. But I paid the full price! Anyway, rooms are dirty. I even didn't take my shower there and I won't talk about the disgusting toilets. I woke up at 6 am due to pigeons walking on the non working AC banding outside the small window! They refunded me the money after half hour of negotiations and they told me I should go for a 5 star hotel. Actually, for the same price, you can find a simple but clean room with even AC sometimes!!!

Pros: cheap Good fans in the room Big lockers, enough to fit a 40 l bag Bathroom in the room Towel included WiFi was ok Cons: Location, a bit far from everything and kind of hard to find. Wasn’t the cleanest. No atmosphere General: would recommend for a few nights. This hostel and Backpackers hostel@Kuldeep is the same place btw. Their airport transfer is about 200-300 rs more expensive than an Uber.
