Nice place to stay one who looking for adventure. Place was amazing with animals. In my stay , I saw elephants with calf other then that dear ,wild pig . Only online booking is available for cottage stay While booking rooms you can book safari as well. Better to book safari online. Sometimes you won’t get seats . Earlier safari Starts from Bandipur Tiger reserve reception but now they changed to other place which is 7km from cottage . Cottage Review: 1) Rooms were okay with basic facilities 2) Care takes are nice persons they will guide you during stay 3) Food is not good .canteen food is available on basis of orders 4) you will get whole view of forest 5) Parking available

The reception of Bandipur safari rest house owned by Bandipur tiger reserve - Karnataka state forest Department.-the stay in the rest house is memorable but rooms are old require painting. the rent is high when tax , park entry fees are applied .food provided by the canteen should be improved.. Its highly dangerous to venture outside tte room during night you can expect wild elephant. Wild boar deer even tiger. Remember your mobile phone will not be in range in this area.
They have relocated safari place. It may be good for wildlife. I visited here to take a safari. I was here by 4.50pm. Single person purchased all the tickets available for 5.30pm safari and another 11 people in queue were refused safari. It was disappointing. Kannada and English displays had lots of grammatical errors, not good. If u are planning a visit please ensure to boil your tickets online and be sure of safari availability instead of getting disappointed.
I will not recommend to ooty via bandipur from Mysore by bike it's dangerous.in car it's ok .
Excellent place to stay .Staff are friendly and animals can be seen roaming front of your room only .
Nice place to spend time with family... We can't see wild animals all the time... If we r lucky it can be seen nearer... Only two time slots are available for jungle safari 6am to 9am then 3pm to 6pm... So plan accordingly if you r going to visit.
Wild elephants and Deers roam around the cottages. Can hear animals making noise very clearly at night. Don't expect to get any mobile signal. And if you are lucky enough, you'll be able to see leopard stalking around the campus.
Nice environment. The government must maintain the animals since the cost of safari is high for each person.so they have to maintain animal but they r not doing it. Please government has to do this work by providing all facilities to animals there. It's our fate that animals may come or may not on our safari path.
