The school is an amazing place for growth of personal and professional level for anyone interning here. The children enrolled here are handled and assisted with utmost care and affection as well as enthusiasm. The staffs and heads of the organisation display a great deal of professionalism and dedication towards the children and the organisation and are inclusive of the interns at most.

I am a student currently pursuing my masters in counselling psychology. Ever since the lockdown began, various aspects of my education became a challenge, especially the thought of finding an offline internship. Most of the places do not hire interns due to COVID-19, but Akshadhaa foundation is unlike them. The institution emphasises on providing quality exposure to all interns who look out for practical experience. The supervisors are extremely professional and empathetic towards all the students, the staff and the interns. The guidance provided was immeasurable. The institution made sure to provide us with practical understanding regarding all the processes that occur that include education, physical therapy, social skills etc. Apart from this, it is a platform where autonomy and creativity is highly encouraged. The supervisors and the staffs always show encouragement to sharpen our skills. It was a holistic experience where I had immense learning as well as lot of fun. I am really thankful to Akshadhaa foundation for being so informative and introducing me to this field.

As a student pursuing her master's and seeking a career in special education, the knowledge and experience I have gained from interning at akshadhaa has be elephantine. Akshadhaa is one place that is readily open to accept new minds and the opportunities it provides for one to explore and learn is numerous. The constant encouragement and guidance from my supervisors has helped me understand how every child is unique and how we can cater to their needs in the same unique way. The administration at akshadhaa have been very cooperative and flexible in accommodating interns and making sure we all take away a sizeable amount of learning. In the one month that I had spent with them, I have been able to nurture my skills in teaching and understanding students and the various different techniques that can be used to them. It has helped broaden our knowledge and given us a close experience to interacting with children. Despite the challenges we faced with connecting online, the enthusiasm in both the teachers and students alike gave us a boost for whatever we did. Overall, my experience at Akshadhaa has been one that is rich in learning and pleasantly motivating to further pursue this career path. I warmly thank our supervisors and the administration for providing us such an opportunity and am grateful to have worked with them.

Hello there guys, I'm currently pursuing my MSc.Counselling Psychology from Kristu Jayanti College, and as part of our curriculum, we had to do our field work for the assigned number of hours. And unfortunetly Covid-19 came in restrict us students from having any direct or physcial exposure anywhere. Luckily Akshadaa Foundation gave us the opportunity to be a prt of their organization and to learn via the online medium, which was challenging on its own , but helped us learn a lot. To be able to deal with special children in person itseld is a challenge, via online medium, it was even more challenging and it was delightfull to see how the students and teachers were interacting. We were given exposure in terms of observing teh students and were also involved in creating worksheets and study material for the students, wherein we were able to lean a lot. Overall, a great experience here at Akshadaa.

As a student of MSW, we were asked to do our field work in a psychiatric setting. I looked up the internet and found Akshadhaa Foundation. I was pleased with the activities they had. Their vision and mission were intriguing. As I started to work with them, I was interested in the activities they had for the children, not just the usual activities a special school would do but, a lot of effort and hard work has gone into planning and preparation for each year. The teachers and organization do not treat the children any different. They give the children and exposure in cooking, cleaning, gardening, bed making, music, sleepovers, watching a movie in a theater, riding a metro and various other activities. The dedication of the founders and the staff is inspiring. has been a great semester working with Akshadhaa Foundation. I'm grateful for the learning I have received.

Being an intern for the period of three months at Akshadhaa foundation was an enriching experience for me. The organization functions with the aim to provide genuine care and support to specially abled children. The organization provided us with various opportunity to learn and grow in our field that would benefit us in a professional sense as well. All the students are treated with equal love and care, and the relationship each student shares with her or his teacher is something beautiful to witness. My experience with Akshadhaa foundation over the 3 months of fieldwork has been amazing journey, from learning how a special need kids need specialized and individual attention. The staff at Akshadhaa was very helpful during my tenure in explaining patiently on how to deal with the kids. Throughout I could experience various therapies which is being conducted at the foundation.
