Visited the beautiful station on October of 2016 while going with my parents for a small trip to the city. Stayed in the deluxe rooms of the railway which are no less than any decent hotel but a lot cheaper. Rooms were hygienic, air conditioned and pleasing. Definitely recommend as a cheaper alternative to hotels outside the station. Food is available in shops and restaurants in and around the station.

Its one of major railway stations of bangalore. To access the platform numbers - 8 to 10 we have to use this gate. It also can be used to reach platform numbers 1-7 too. There is lot of cabs and auto service available but sometimes they charge more. You can book transportation online but just need to wait. Other services like eatery and all are available.

Good. Very good connectivity of state trains and interstate trains. Be carefull about the platform ticket. Otherwise you will be fined here. Near to majestic and has underpass connectivity as well.

As a tourist, I recommend a great place to visit. Make sure you get a platform pass from the ticket office. You want to see real India, then you will find it at a railway station and this place is a nice one to see.

Back gate is close to northend of platform 7, it gives you easy access to platform 9, 8, 7, 6 and others. Usually it is not crowded like front or main gate. You can find booking office, pay and use toilets, ola uber and autos to book your drive. If you get down at southend, you can walk to "M G Colony Sub Station"
