The name Dialogue den is inspired by thinking thoughts of peace-making methods to resolve a conflict over choosing legal courtroom battles. Dialogue: meaning conversation between two or more people or groups – which can encourage people to inbuilt the ability of peace-building & peace-maintaining. Den: meaning private space – where one can safely talk out to a trained professional who can facilitate dialogues in search of amicable solution to approach the conflict. Ask anybody around you about the feeling of fighting a legal case or entering into a lawyer’s office: be it for a Family matter, or an issue from your Workplace or small big concerns from your Business deals. The answers I have received have mostly been spontaneous facial expression which is not a happy face. Conflicts can be troublesome. True. Conflicts can be painful. Very true. Especially when it involves spouse, children, hard-earned money or long-standing reputation. Family, Workplace and Business, all three disciplines are interconnected. A conflict at Workplace tends to disturb our relationships within Family. A conflict within the Family will influence our performance levels at the Workplace. A conflict from Business can hurdle surviving of the entire Family. A Workplace conflict with unhappy employees can impact Business. As a result, often when a problem escalates to a level beyond our control, we tend to approach it adversely. At times, even when there is a willingness to amicably resolve conflict, there occurs a conflict in deciding which method to adopt to resolve a conflict. Hence, proving there is no running away from the conflicts. But, there are other alternatives to going adverse. One should be aware of the non-adversarial ways. These thoughts inspired me to initiate Dialogue den. At here, we explore efficient ways to conflict management and choose an apt non-adversarial way to resolve a conflict depending on particular situations.
