We need have lot of patience for getting treated over there.it takes about weeks and months sometimes. But once u got admitted over there u will definitely get a very good treatment.Treatment here is very cheap

Very disappointed by the staff of this hospital, heard very good things about this hospital but it turned out to be a total disappointment. I am gonna monologue son, so we've been here 3 months ago that's when we were told that 13th March is my admission date. Comes 13th March and the doctors here ask me to get a CT scan done, after getting my CT scan done I was immediately asked to get an MRI done as well, now I'm not sure about this but I don't think the doctors even had the time to have a look at my CT scan report, they seemed to be buying time for something. The funny thing about this hospital is you can't get your report the same day you get your test done, so we're asked to come on Wednesday meanwhile my brother asks if we can get the test done from elsewhere to which the "doctor" says no you need the get it done from here itself, sure I can get on board with that no biggie. Comes next Saturday, we reach the hospital, after waiting for hours we get to meet with someone from the hospital, he says why haven't I been admitted already since the possible date of admission was 13th March itself, a shimmer of hope returns after that we were passed around the hospital like a beach ball until 3pm when the doctor meets with us and says we need to come next Saturday because the hospital doesn't have any empty beds as of now. I am beyond frustrated. After my first surgery I was suggested to get the tumor removal surgery done within a month, 2 months tops. It has been around 3 months as of now. I have never seen incompetence of this degree ever before. Final verdict, get a medical insurance and go for a good private hospital if you value your life.

It is the best hospital of neuroscience all over India.There is huge no of patients ,so there is long queue to attend the doctor. So should be reached in early Morning for registration & to consult doctor. Staffs are well behaved. At the time of registration,patient should be there , otherwise they would not allow to go to payment counter. Treatment available with minimum cost. Medicine Counters , Canteen ,Bank branch & Physiotherapy Unit is in its compound. App based Autos & app based car available from here.
This is government hospitals ...u need to go by 6-7 am to get the token while paying 10-50rs amount ...OPD will open from 9am but line is stating from 5am only ..too much ...full of crowd If you are going 1st time this hospital is not good as most of the place I have seen junior doctors are seating and they will not care much they will give or recommending 1 month medicine...only But if you have some previous report serious illness or issue than may be they can allow to meet senior doctors and ask to do for test.. Waiting time to meet doctor is really 5-6 hour from getting registration till meeting doctor..I have seen this we reach by 6:30 -7 am and I meet doctor by 2 -3PM
They way treating patients are very low class and the management are not responsible crowd are very high but maintenance are very low. I appreciate for doctor's they way consulting to patients but my brother was visited 5th times from 1month but not started the treatment still they suggest for tests and report's. So need to develop the management system for quick response. Everyone are staff and lab technicians is not good.
I am associated with nimhans from 2017 and I really trust doctors here. They have wide range of neurological issues and patient come from all over India and near by countries like Bangladesh, nepal, few I met, where from Nigeria. This shows doctors are much experienced and knowledgeable. And this is also shown in treatment they give. I am MS Patient, and they have been very responsive towards taking care of my condition. There is definitely lot of improvement required here, since patients come from different parts of India and World, their help desk should be more responsive and clear in giving Directions. Also NIMHANS should increase use of online facilities. Taking MRI / CT scan or OPD appointment should be online. Only first time patients have OPD appointment facilities but for patients coming repeatedly here, have no online facilities to book appointments. We have to stand in queue for long hours. Make sure you have plenty of time whe. You come to NIMHANS. Everything is slow and getting things done isn't easy.
