It's the best experience of my life! A big big must do! Om, the owner is an amazing person, very very helpful. We ate home grown, freshly cooked food. The most delicious food I've had in Rajasthan! We learnt about Pottery, block printing and weaving. A experience like never before! Experienced the village life!

Excellent experience. We were lucky to get the owner Prajapat sir himself as the guide. He made sure we spotted many blackbucks in the Safari. He definitely knows the area. We also did pottery class and showed the loom to make carpets. The lunch at his home was simple but delicious. Would be happy to do this Safari again.

We contacted these guides via email and made arrangements for a half day tour, Shambhu collected us from the Clock Tower in Jodhpur at 8am and outlined the itinerary.....a village pottery making display, a bishnoi homestead visit with an opium ceremony and turban tying display, a co-operative run textile weaving village and finally a textiles and furniture warehouse with a short drive in the countryside to try and spot any wildlife if you're lucky too. Drop off back to starting point (or the palace for us as was our preference) This was at a cost of 1200 rupees each. Shambhu was very professional but friendly and knowledgeable and explained the ethical methods of tourism that his small company strive to use and preserve. He was happy to discuss Indian culture and politics with us when we asked and he seemed like a genuine and sincere person The craftsmen that we met happily showed us their wares but did not push us for a sale at all, which we found quite refreshing for India. All the demonstrations were informative and the people were happy to chat and practice their English skills. I would highly recommend this tour over some of the other more pricey and less personal trips on offer. After the tour had ended to take Guide Shambhu offered us to his home for a lunch cooked by his wife and a lovely cup of chai , We accepted as we had got along so well with Shambhu and found his wife to be lovely and a very good cook too. We ate fresh home made breads, butters and curd, and tried some rare desert beans. Thank you Shambhu we had a lovely time.

The village safari made our Jodhpur trip memorable. It was a great experience and the hosts Mr. Shambhu and family ensured we had a holistic experience of the village safari.

One of best experiences we had. One of a kind safari where rich and varied heritage of Jodhpur was being showcased. Highlight of our trip was this village safari.
