If you're around Vijayawada airport, this enchanting natural lake spanning 1200 acres on the way to Agiripally town is a place to visit just for it's pleasant sights. The lake is known to retain water for close to 5 years once it's full to the brim during a good monsoon. If you reach there before 8:30-9:00 am during weekdays, you can buy live fish and fresh water shrimp from the official bidders' lakeside sales counter near Narsingapalem on the east banks of the lake. There is always a set of ladies will clean the fish, cut into pieces and give for a small fee per kilogram.
