This is the pre independent circle jail, controls Ganjam, Gajapati ,kandhamal, khurda dists. It is the same jail where many freedom fighters including sahid Lakshman Nayak was hanged. It is the only jail where old hanging system is available. It is near to District and Session court, Ganjam. Deputy inspector General of jail, office is located here.
