All the people of India acknowledge his contribution to the building of modern India, especially his visionary behaviour in setting up LIC institutions for the pursuit of excellence in insurance Sector & education. We surely can learn a lot from his life. Modem India would always remain indebted to this great visionary and man of action. Sri. Vengal Reddy was different from almost all other men of his era, because of his wide range of activities. Vengal Reddy went ahead steadily with Rural Life Insurance Service Sector programme under the LIC of India, he expanded this insurance service sector empire Independent Andhra Pradesh India. He set up institutions of international repute for generating the necessary man-power. He was the first Cororpathi Development Officer of LIC of India in 1980. Even at the age of thirty he drove his Bullet from Metpally to Tirupati. Thus Vengal Reddy was an amazing personality. The capability of Sri. Vengal Reddy to convert hurdles into opportunities must stand out as unique role model for his countrymen. This great son of India passed away on May.1 2, 2014 at the ripe age of 76. This man of great importance created many centres of excellence in science, technology, social science and arts.
