Wheelchair-accessible entrance
The entrance and lake besides will take you to forts of Rajasthan, it's beautiful. But at the same time it is not maintained and only a portion is open for visitor. It has great potential to be a beautiful destination for visitors all around Mithila.

There is nothing to see here just the fort. In the inside there is a residential complex. Yes you won't find anything interesting here. Just the fort itself. I don't know why people compare it with the red fort of delhi
It's a big fort of about a 1 km in length and 100m in height. It was built post independence buy king Kameshwar Singh. It is the ornament of Darbhanga but it's not being taken care of these days. It should be promoted as a tourist spot by local goverment. But I see local shops and encroachment near the fort. Unwanted tree are there on fort which is slowly breaking the thik wall. May be I am wrong but I personaly belive , government should take the whole fort under it custody , clear the unauthorised shops under the wall and maintain the wall along with surrounding area.
In one word you can say the Pride and Honour of Darbhanga and the whole Mithilanchal.
Old heritage of darbhanga raj. Must visit once in your life.
It was very good and very beautiful earlier. It is surrounded very big wall and flowers beside road. Always clean and calm. But now it is broken most of places and cut the tree. But now it is ok. This wall is very strong. Inside this most of land is sell for general people . So it's full of crowded.
It’s made like Red Fort in Delhi , but very poorly maintained. Roads are so poor that I have added a photo of roads. It’s situated near Lalit Narayan Mithila university and rambag palace but if well maintained it can become an identity of Darbhanga.
This is very nice place in Darbhanga Bihar. A long time ago this is the Quila of Darbhanga Maharaj Ji. It's near about 3 km away from railway station
