One of the place which has potential to come up as great restaurant. I had masala dosa. It was very bland, without any spices or flavour. For last few years I see everywhere a very thin transparent microscopic layer of potato masala on dosas. While making dosas cooks spread thinly the batter then put very thin layer of potato masala, then immediately scoop back most of it. Food material may cost 1/3rd of the total cost of the dish but serving size may put off customers. It has good roadside parking and also good seating place. All restaurents must strive to carve out a niche and not try to be multi cuisine always.

The photos shown are misleading. Edit: the above comment was posted when the shop was not yet opened. Now that it has opened, i happened to have evening snack here, chowmein and tanduri momos (yes they serve that too from Chicago BR which is on 1st floor above it, so basically it is a review of Chicago BR). The overall ambience is good but the food is too spicy, mainly because they used red chili, which gave my stomach hard time early morning. I suggest to use green chillies instead. The service is kind of slow and variety is not available even though it's there on the menu. People come to restaurants for taste, service and ambience and it lacks 2 out of 3. Earlier, Chicago BR was in the neighborhood near sahastradhara crossing and did not run for long and had to shut down. I hope they learn from earlier mistake as i suppose they have invested a lot in setting up the place this time. I hope they take care of taste and put up fine music to help get more customer base Currently this place is for people who simply want to get a snack and not worry about taste, nothing more than that. For good budget south indian food, go for Udupi cafe on EC road.
