While Dr. Satyendra has always been friendly and helpful, the lady in there seems to have an attitude problem. Last year in March, she wanted me to write them a review *in front of* her. I had to explain to her four times that that amounts to coercion and I'm not comfortable writing a review for a business while the owner watched me type. Today I was supposed to start a laser treatment which would supposedly cost 18,000 INR so I decided against it mainly for (1) time and (2) budget constraints. I had the courtesy to call them up and inform them of my decision but she got furious and gave a snarky comment of "so when you feel better you can come back, madam" and hung up the phone on my face. The audacity is quite stunning, really. I am a lawyer myself and have worked in the service industry in the past and I know for a fact that you never vent your frustrations/anger on a customer or a client. For starters, I fail to understand the reason for her anger? Because I can't afford your treatment? Because I had the decency to call and inform? Is this how doctors are supposed to treat their patients? What if they're from a lower income group? Not only is this unethica, but downright petty, childish, and disrespectful. People are allowed to change their minds once they're told about the cost of the treatment and once they gauge a situation's surrounding circumstances. That is literally the definition of an informed decision. Her behaviour from last year itself was extremely rude and left a bitter taste in my mouth for weeks. And funnily, this time she went out of her way to be disrespectful. Evidently, history repeats itself. In this case, the behaviour gets far worse and acts like it wants to bite your head off. One's degrees and work experience mean nothing if you can't treat others with basic human decency. Personally, I think it's reasonable to expect that from doctors, however exceptional they might be at their jobs. Regards,
