Nice place to inquire about going to silk road but mind it the office only opens from 7 AM to 10 AM

3rd mile check post it is check post where checking is done before you go to the higher altitude it is situated Gangtok and data checking is done by the armies there it is in the middle of the pathway of Baba Mandir or changu Lake as because there is a rule in Gangtok that if you go to the higher altitude like the places of Baba mandir changu Lakeyou should have a proper right to go to their and there are some information in the morning you have to make it for to go to the higher altitude
Except long waiting time no other issue. Army personnel manning it.
Very beautiful scenery. Risk road better to hire a taxi than drive yourself.

You have to have a strong ID proof like passport/voter id/driving licence. Aadhar card and pan cards are not accepted. Its a wonderful place!
