It is located in the popular Aam Bazar area in English Bazar, Malda.

It is the main Bus Terminus for both private and government charter buses at Malda Town. Actually, this bus terminus was shifted from inside town to outside town a few years ago for the crowdy roads inside the English Bazar Municipality, i.e Malda The bus terminus was renamed by the 'Kannya' series as 'Gour Kannya' by the present state government.It is situated on the 34 National Highway. Near the bus terminus, there are Regulated Market, University of Gourbanga, Rabindra Bhavan and others. There is a hotel named Rajdip Hotel, and a 'pay and use' toilet inside the bus terminus.But it is not popular among the passengers because of, 1) the distance of work places, 2) facilities of the bus terminus,3) insecurity of the passengers specially the women at evening and night. Moreover, unavailability of the Toto's and rickshaws at evening and night harden the situation for children, women and old persons.It is necessary for the government to look after the matter. It is better for the visitors and passengers to use the next stoppage Rathbari, the heart of the Malda Town as it is alive whole day and night with transportation , light, crowd and hotels.
