These are the notes that I have for Record which support some of both the prior posts and also add a tiny bit: 1903: Founded by a group with the purpose to aquire and realise the patent of the Sector Watch, a triangular pocket watch with retrograde display. 1916: Merger with several companies under the name Record Dreadnought Watch Co. S.A., with a broad collection of all kinds of clocks, watches, and movements. Brands and names of the involved companies continued to be used. 1949: The original name Record Watch Co. S.A. was registered again. 1960: A Record pocketwatch (calibre 435B) was the first Swiss watch to achieve wide acceptance on US railroads. 1961: Longines bought the majority interest in Record. The brand Record continued - on some watches as Longines-Record. Some Record calibres were renamed as Longines calibres. 1991: Record was closed.

Not great customer service. Customers are like autos to these people, if one goes another will come and it wont matter to them. As long as you don't ask any questions to them about quality, warranty, guaranty and discount, it is a great place to buy watches.. like a store on charminar roads. But the moment a person who has knowledge about watches starts asking about the leather strap, water resistance, quality, movement, auto or non, clasp, especially warranty and guaranty they will slowly move away from you and to a different customer. So if you are buying a 10k watch or 200 rupees watch they cannot assure you on service, warranty, guarantee. I'm not sure if the owner knows about this or not or simply takes it lite, but the sales person and staff is horrible, as long as they get their part of salary they will rip off a customer. I suggest to go to a good showroom other than this brand name.

Please, dont go there for shopping, repa ring n buying.all old buddas,they talk like junglees.n the most imp they took out the parts from the customers reparing watches.Yes I have the experience.
