Hidden gem inside Eco Park. This one is probably the best place in Eco park. Full of tranquility and peace. The shrine and its surrounding areas would take you to some place deep within. Om Namah

There is a small place inside the Eco Tourism Park called "Japanese Forest" which very few people visit. It has a separate entrance fee other than the Eco Park entrance fee which is 20 Rupees and it is beautiful and very well maintained. It is created like a Japanese Forest with a Japanese restaurant, temple, lake and beautiful Zen garden inside. It is a must visit if you are going to Eco Park and about the Eco park I have to tell it is the best park in the whole country. The only problem is it gets very crowded during weekends and holidays so avoid visiting it during those days.

I went to see this place with my family. You have to purchase separate tickets to enter the premises, which costs around Rs 30 per head. I would suggest that you keep some change of small denominations like 10, 20 and 50 with you as the ticket counter is 'cash only' and they usually expect that you pay the exact amount. The place is simply breathtaking. The ambiance of this place is amazing. The attention to details is palpable. The Pagoda inside is actually real and not an imitation (According to one of the information stones inside the establishment). Overall, this place is like a piece of Japan in Kolkata.

A real taste of Japanese culture and history, a place that has always managed to take my breath away with its beauty. It’s always a feeling of peace and happiness, visiting the little Japan of Kolkata. From the life-sized wind-chime made of bamboo to the monastery and its surroundings: this place makes me feel like I’m in my element. Of course, there’s the charming Japanese Restaurant & Garden within the premise, serving mouth-watering Japanese food, which is always a big attraction for me.
