A beautiful place where pristine natural beauty is available in abundance and endangered species of animals and plants are seen. The legendary one-horned rhinoceros is the star attraction along with Asiatic elephants and rare tigers. The visit is best enjoyed as elephant safari because most of the attractions can be seen in this way.
A beautiful place to visit...
This place is the home of many endangered species of birds and mammals. Most famous is the one horned Rhino. The park is now closed tentatively till September due to weather condition. In peak season, you can have Elephant safari and Jeep safari inside the National Park. You can see a lot of deers, Wild Buffaloes, Birds, Rhinoceros, Wild Elephants. Entry fees is reasonable. There are 5 regions to visit and the jeep drivers acts as tour guide inside. Perfect place for wildlife lovers and photographers.

After the Assam floods in the past, the National Park / Jungle has lost its dense nature. Rhinos are abundant. Wild boards are few. Deer are abundant. Barah Singhas are abundant, but young ones.. tigers are not visible at all if u take normal safaris or elephant safaris. Safaris are just name sake just to show us Rhinos which are spotted without much effort. No elephants at all anywhere. Birds are abundant. Bisons are many- Easily spotted.
Kaziranga is a national park famous for one horn rhinoceros. Apart from this, this park is famous for its flora and fauna. Different species of resident and migratory birds and different species of mammals including Royal Bengal tigers are found here. This place is 200km from Guwahati and it has mainly 3 ranges popular among tourists..Kohora,Bagori and Agoyatoli. There are many places to stay here from high range hotels to homestays. Jeep safari and elephant safari are available here.
