Good place for a family/friends hang out. Very nice staff. Lion safari or any other not to the mark. Boating is a feel good experience. Value for money is not there. Over all a good experience and a one time go place.

This place is gifted with a bountiful of natures beauty. The lion safari suffers from lack of lions. We saw only a single male lion.
Exciting experience overall, right from the moment when they open the big gates to park till you are in the middle of the island with the lions up and close.
Neyyar DAM is a good place to spend some time . The lake is beautiful for clicking photographs. Some time can be spent boating in the lake. The lake side is good and clean, however the dam area could have been cleaned and maintained in a better manner. There is an aquarium . The entry ticket is Rs 30/-. A visit to Neyyar DAM can be clubbed with Kottur Elephant Orphanage where the best time to go is 9 AM in the morning. The best mode of transport to go there is a cab as both of these places are in a little secluded locations.f you want to be spend time with peace of mind and away from rush, this is the right place to visit. It is best to visit on June - Feb mid. You can have a boat ride to lion safari park (Don't expect more)and elephant rehab centre a few kilometers away. There also you can have a boat ride. Rainy season will be the best time to visit this place as per my opinion. The park is are now renovated and its very attractive. There is an aquarium from where you can by golden fish with cheap price for your home aquarium. The swimming pool is under renovation and hope it will complete within a year.
They have fenced acres of land just to keep 2 old lions.
I had been here back in January 2019 to See a Tigress Caught from Wayanad . The Park has only two lions but ample scope for More Carnivores to be housed here . Ideally it needs atleast two Pairs of lions for a Pride to form . That Apart it can have a dedicated Safari area only for Tigers and Panthers Caught due to conflict . A lot of scope to increase the variety of Big Cats that can be housed here instead of Zoos .
The name of the lioness is Sindhu. Now only one lioness is living in the island. Forest people will go the and after making a vistle sound it will reach and have the food which forest people serve. It may give us a painful moment that this loneliness is a cruelty to the lioness because it is the king of the forest but now lives like a begger. Driver knows the place of the lioness and will stop the vehicle nearest to Sindhu. Without any change in expressions, it will lie like emotionless living. Above all, we can consider this as a good Moment because we are going there ti see these kind of visuals. The main attraction there is the beauty of the nature..
Was awesome place. Good boating too. But no enough lions now.
