One of the shortest ferry service between Alappuzha and Kottayam district ,Makkekadavu Ferry which Aroor Thaluk in Alappuzha District Connecting to Nerekadavu ferry located at Vaikom Taluk in Kottayam District,very beautiful ferry ,now here it's new bridge construction going on known as Thuravoor Pamba Way,When construction is done this route will be easy as route to rich Kottayam Kumily etc from Highway
