Kheoni Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1955, is located in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over an area of \u200b\u200b124 square kilometers, the richness of its sanctuary is due to the dry deciduous forest, which is mainly of teak and bamboo species, and is home to a variety of wild animals, and flora and fauna. Major animal species are found here, including Chital, Sambar, Nilgai, four-horned antelope, wild boar and barking deer. The sanctuary is also rich in bird life. This sanctuary is also an attraction for tourists. Balganga River is the main river of this sanctuary. Or (In Hindi) खेओनी वन्यजीव अभयारण्य, 1955 में स्थापित हुआ, मध्य प्रदेश के देवास जिले में स्थित है। यह 124 वर्ग किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में फैला है, इसकी अभयारण्य की समृद्धि शुष्क पतझड़ी वन के कारण है, जो मुख्य रूप से सागौन और बांस प्रजाति के हैं, और जंगली जानवरों, तथा वनस्पतियों और जीव की विविधताओं का एक घर है। प्रमुख पशुओं की प्रजातियां यहाँ पायीं जाती हैं, जिनमे से निम्न शामिल हैं, जैसे चीतल, सांभर, नीलगाय, चार सींग वाले मृग, जंगली सूअर और बार्किंग डीयर। यह अभयारण्य पक्षी जीवन से भी समृद्ध है। यह अभयारण्य पर्यटकों के लिए भी एक आकर्षण का कारण है। बालगंगा नदी इस अभ्यारण्य की प्रमुख नदी है ।

Want to go for BirdSurvey Recently visited the Sanctuary for Bird Survey from 06 To 08 April, 2018.More than 125 Ird species Recorded by 32 Birders during Survey in whole 134 sq m area.Though this is not the correct time for Bird Survey but 125 Bird species is too much during hot April. Sehore & Devas district shares the Sanctuary.Kheoni Resthouse is itself the Tourist post...Birding spot...Tigering spot...Nature walk.Three tigers are there & more scope to explore in this sanctuary. Staff too good & well trained..organised. One can see Bird Survey details from photographs. One can reached Kheoni from Harda Railway station if come by Railway following Mumbai-Khandwa-Jabalpur Railway Route.Indore -Ujjain are nearby Cities & Bus route can used from those cities.Kannod & Kusmaniya are nearest bus stops.From Kusmaniya to Onkara-Kheoni WLS ...difficult to reach as bus frequency is too low & own private arrangements requires to reach from Kusmaniya-onkara-KheoniWLS.Proper Bus facilities may come if tourists frequency arise.
Best nature .. I never seen before like this ..you can definitely found peace here and little advanture type place
Real nature beauty is there , with the presence of big wild cat leopard and tiger .. very beautiful and hard working forest staff . Good for safari
