It's a ferry ghat near baranagar bazar. You can take ferry service for Hawrah station via Bagbazar or direct to the femous Belur Math. Very old place of Calcutta's.

Shortest way to reach belur from baranagar and dumdum area. The view of belur ramkrishna math is just awesome from the ghat. The view of bally bridge and the other ghats are so magnificent and enthusiasticall cannot Express. It will be more fun to take the small boats

Baranagar – possibly originating from Barahanagar, ‘baraha’ meaning pig and ‘nagar’ town – is a municipality on the northern fringes of Kolkata. Located on the eastern bank of the river, Hooghly, Baranagar is older than the city of Calcutta. Kutighat is a small ghat on the banks of the river, Hooghly, in Baranagar. It has a small jetty with a launch service that ferries across the river, twice a day. As you trudge across the jetty, a sense of languidness will prevail – people sleeping on the jetty sheltered from the blazing sun, a few small boats plying their work, bamboo let out to dry on the banks of the river, two young couple from a college enjoying the feel of the place, fishing nets lying on the jetty and, in the distance, on the other side of the river, stand Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission. A lovely place for hang out.
