One of beautiful place in Tirunelveli district to enjoy.... If u don't know swimming also no worry water in the front is not that deep but make sure somebody from your group should know swimming.. Enjoy but don't cross the limit, their are lot of stones are their which can hurt you... Area is little slippery be cautious. Make sure to keep the area clean & green. Don't leave your trash here...

One of the finest places to hang around and get drenched in water. I have rich memories of this place. I learnt to swim here at the age of 18. Thanks for my friend Nagarajan who took me to the deep waters and gave me the confidence to swim. It is a small catchment area across the mainstream of River Tamirabarani to divert two canals for irrigation. Those are good swimmers can bathe in the deep catchment which has a minimum depth of 12 feet and maximum depth upto 40 feet. Those are do not know swimming stay safe on the other side of the Catchment where the water overflows like a falls. The local people use it for washing, bathing, spending time with friends and relatives to chill down. It has water all round the year. Unfortunately due to overflowing tourists increase in the number of death by tourists this places is banned. One good thing about banning is now the place will be cleaner and less polluted.
