Its an orthodox syrian church which has a serene atmosphere even if its in the middle of the kottayam town. A good ambience to meditate. You have a little bit restrictions as it is the t covid-19 time. There is also a museum arranged with the old holdings of St.Gregorious of Parumala ( so called Parumala Thirumeni ) and other historical remains of the Malankara church . Overall its recommended for a calm and relaxing meditation if you are living in the town area.

Kurisupally is one of the ancient Syrian Christian Orthodox Church located at Puthanangady area of Kottayam town. The construction of the present church was started 1892 and consecrated during 1898. The holy cross in the Church (originally wooden cross, later replaced with granite cross) attracting devotees from different places. This holy cross is erected in the altar during AD 1692.
