A beautiful palace. The estate was awarded by Emperor Jehangir to Raja Farzand Ali therefore the name Jehangirabad. It was only used for living after the independence by the family. The architecture of the palace was inspired by Sir Walter Burley Griffin in the 1930's. He is the same architect responsible for the city of Canberra in Australia. Presently the palace is primarily used as the residence ofRaja Mohammed Jamal Rasaul Khan.

The Jahangirabad Palace is said to be huge and the locals here reminisce the times. A banter with a generation or two older, will reveal exquisite details of the splendour that the palace was at one point in time. Long after the time the British had left the country, which only added to the fun and frolic that people.

It is an old and historic monument. A couple of Bollywood movies were shot here. A great place to visit and spend your valuable time. Lucknow is famous for historic monuments and it's one of them .

Its a heritage building situated in heart of Lucknow. Known for occassional TV and film shoots. Some portion is rented to IDBI Bank Ltd.

Beautiful building wrongly posted as a museum, the palace is the residence of a personal friend Raja Jamal Rasool Khan. One may have seen it in Bollywood movies as his office sometimes gives parts of the palace for major film shoots. The front lawn was occassionally given out for functions but that was discontinued a few years ago.
