The National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala is open, but the footfall is less nowadays due to closure of the Retreat Ceremony at the Hussainiwala Border during Covid times. The Memorial has been made to pay homage to and in memory of the martyrs Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev who were cremated here, after their hanging by the British colonisers for their alleged acts of "treason" against the British empire. The site is also witness to 3 major battles fought here between the Indian& Pakistani Armies, including the brave actions by 15 PUNJAB (Patiala) of the Indian Army. The remains of the historic railway station are also co-located here, which lies on the route of the trains that once used to pass through Hussainiwala to Lahore, during the pre-independence days. There is adequate parking space available, along with green open spaces for a day picnic with family and friends.

The land of brave and revolutionaries. Homage to the freedom fighters of what today known as India and pakistan. One of the places where you will feel the enthusiasm growing in your body and mind. The bullet marks of gun on the rail bridge which joins india and pakistan, will give you chills and it will take you to think about the intense situation of 1971 war.
