This Mahuli trek is of around 3 to 4 hours. First you reach Asangaon railway station by taking the earliest local and try to reach the station by 6.30 am. From there you can get Auto for Rs.250 for 4 person and this will take around 30 mins to reach the base village of Mahuli from where you start the trek. For beginners, it can be very exhaustive and difficult because of the rough rock patches in the path. There is a drinking water source on the top, so don't worry about water, just take enough for climbing.

Amazing trek.ideal for night camping. beautiful view of sunrise from top.mauli trek is at 2815 above from sea level.
A good one day trek near Mumbai is at 2815 feet above sea level. It's the highest point in Thane district. A popular trekking choice and a paradise for rock climbers because of its pinnacles. The forest around the fort has been declared as sanctuary. Get to Asangaon, a railway station on Central Railway from CSTM, Dadar, Thane etc and take local ST bus till Mahuli Village. Share An Auto Option is also available. It takes around 90 minutes to reach on the top!
