An enormous place covered in a sheet of snow, surrounded by mountains and you guessed it, covered with snow. This entire place was a hub for various activities. For the snowy fun there was skating and tube ride down the slopes and as for sightseeing there was a rope way up from the bottom of the mountain, also for the thrill seekers, paragliding. Now you can expect from my tone I didn’t participate in the latter.

Great view, beauty, short walk & mountain car ride with driver if you are ok with spending extra. If you take a bike ride to reach the place, the ride would be awesome for sure. Cons - crowded and dirty snow due to the same. If you want to play with clean snow, walk even more upwards.
We did a short trek to this beautiful valley. Worth going there again.

If there is a heaven on Earth and in India, maybe this place is it. This is a wonderful place to visit in winters. From here, atal tunnel has also started recently which connects lahaul spiti region to Manali. I suggest leaving for this place early in morning if you are planning to go by car. As the day progresses, one will be stuck in traffic on the slope for atleast 3 hours. Most preferable is visiting the place by bike especially a RE bullet. They are allowed by policeman to seamlessly go even from the wrong side of the road so bike riders can reach uphill in 35-50 minutes even with traffic on the entire slope. There are limited options of tea, Maggi and omelette available on the solang valley. Activities like paragliding, zorbing, skiing, sledging, yak riding, ziplining are available here. Avoid taking a combo package for this as it will be 5x times more costly than the cost of activities taken singly. The place will require 4-5 hours easily to roam around, have fun and do activities. There is a cablecar which further goes up the valley which is only used by paragliders to reach vantage point.
