Great place. Kranthi Anna's hospitality makes you feel like you're home. Plays cool music. All flavours are perfect. You'll find the finest South Indian cuisine. Pure veg. I'll visit this place when I come next time.

This place needs a tagline 'soulful experiences'. Its undoubtedly one of the best south Indian food in Manali. We've had too many memories with Southern Souls and Kranti (one of the co-owner) in just the shortest of times! Kranti himself is the warmest of souls and is the perfect host here. He gives you great suggestions, just tell him what you're in the mood to eat. The seating area is great with decent table and chairs. And either ways, you don't need a 5-star dining experience to taste authentic south Indian food! Must haves - 1) Paniyaram with red chutney 2) Podi Idli (don't remember the name clearly but it's the one with masala) 3) FILTER COFFEE (can't stress this enough) Do call and ask for a reservation as this place has limited occupancy and gets filled fast. And Kranti, thanks a lot for not only the delicious food but also to help us reach back to our hostels safely. Looking forward to our next visit and this next time, we surely wanna meet the head chef!

It was only through pure serendipity that we stumbled across this place and it is more than safe to say that it was one of the better decisions that we’d made. The food’s absolutely amazing and do make sure to strike up a conversation with Kranthi ji for he himself is a terrific host. 10/10 would recommend.

The cafe had just opened in the morning when we were passing by, and we decided to drop in. One of the best decisions of our trip! We had phaddu (paniyaram, which is generally not available in restaurants in Karnataka) along with Uttappam. Chutney and sambar were amazing - hot and spicy. Hot filter coffee on a cold Manali morning - you rarely get this experience. The food is prepared by the family, so you can be assured of taste and quality. Mr. Kranti (owner) also explained the difficulties of preparing dough in the cold weather. Well, your hot box experiments are a success, Mr. Kranti! Thank you for the unforgettable experience!
