It is one of those places that demands multiple visits from you to feast on many local varieties they serve. I love the taste of the sambaar, dal and chutney they serve with types of idlies. Usage of coconut oil makes their dishes more authentic. They also have a separate counter where they sell sweets and savouries that are endemic. You can take home thin banana chips that are fried in coconut oil, sweets like malpuru et al.
If you are in Mangalore this place is a best choice for South Indian Thali call SADYA Also it's a multi cuisine so you will get fast food and all such stff too.
Place is awesome for breakfast and coffee. Their coffee is super amazing. I would love to have such amazing coffee each morning. Great experience having breakfast there. This place is little bit busy. But quality of food is very good as well as taste
My honest confession, one of the best Thali Meals I have ever eaten as far as my memory goes ! At Rs 70 , one can have a healthy , sumptuous meal , no floating oil , no artificial spices or masala and above all served on banana leaf ! Thank you Taj Cafe Management and staff for preserving this iconic piece of Mangalore ‘s tradition and hospitality

Probably the most expensive restaurant in Mangalore that provides breakfast. BUT, if you've got that extra bucks and don't mind paying a premium for an edge in quality, this is your place. Also, it's air-conditioned and located very close to Ocean Pearl. Highly recommended.
Oh one of best breakfast items in Mangalore just loved it !! Buns was ultimate with amazing Chutney !!. Puri N Aloo bhaji is must , don't miss!!. 4 wheelr parking also available .
