One of the most amazing trekking experiences in nashik The route is slightly difficult, but totally worth the experience You can spend hours sitting at the nedha just chilling. The absolute top of the fort can be reached by climbing from the left side of the fort (left side as seen from Mohandari town) The entire region is green during monsoon, so would love to visit this fort again in July-August

One of the very rare reviews on a fort which I did not rate 5 stars (but see update below).. only because route to the top is not well trodden at all.. if you wish to trek the water cisterns, there is a route to the right, traverse to back and then top of mountain, when we start from Mohandari village.. and if you wish to trek the hole (नेढं), you need to start from center of the mountain.. there is no easy route from tanks to नेढं.. also discover some silica rocks on the way.. update from second time experience.. since, we missed the नेढं last time, we directly started towards the same this time.. from नेढं, we thought of trying to get to the top from left.. and 3 out of 5 of us succeeded .. the. route. is. not. easy. at. all. but the achievement was amazingly satisfactory.. ratings changed to 5 stars, experience wise..

Main attraction of the fort is it's big hole. People in Mohandari village call it Shidka and Fort is also known as Shidka killa. There are 2 ways to reach on top. First one goes from behind the school which takes us directly near the hole in around 1 hr. Second one starts from Water tank near gate of school which goes on the top of the fort rounding the fort. On top you can see 2-3 water tanks. You can also go in the hole from there. Second route takes around 2 hr. Be careful of beehives in the hole. Don't make any kind of loud noise. Hole can be crossed without using a rope if you have enough experience of trekking. Use rope for safety. Happy Trekking !
