Superspecialty block (SSB) is home to Neurology , Neurosurgery, Nephrology , Urology, Medical and Surgical Gastroenterology departments. Both outpatient and inpatient wards are located within the block. There is a common ICU for the medical departments, whereas there are separate ICUs for surgical gastroenterology , transplant and neurosurgery.

SSB - INAUGURATED IN 2011 AS PART OF MEDICAL COLLEGE BORN IN 1951 ,DEDICATED BY PM JAWAHARLAL NEHRU. THIS MEGA FACILITY WAS CONSTRUCTED UNDER PM'S SWASTYA YOJANA (N.MODI) GRAND OF 120 CRORE.THEN CHIEF MINISTER WAS SRI.ACHUTHANANDAN. MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION BY HLL LIFE CARE.NEPHROLOGY ,ENDOCRINOLOGY, NEUROLOGY ,NEURO SURGERY, UROLOGY, MEDICAL AND SURGICAL GASTROENTEROLOGY ARE THE MAIN UNITS WORKING.HUMAN ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION UNIT AVAILABLE. DIALYSIS UNIT IS WORLD CLASS.DIGITAL X-RAY UNIT,ULTRA SCAN UNIT, PHYSIO THERAPY ETC ARE OTHER FACILITIES ON THE DOWN FLOOR .... SEPARATE QUE FOR BOTH GENDERS FORMS AT 4 AM ONWARD IN THIS BLOCK.IF YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR AROUND 10 - 11 AM THEN BE THERE AT 5 - 6 AM IN THE QUE. INSIDE... A SMALL CANTEEN FOR TEA,SNACKS AND STATIONERY IS NEAR GASTRO OP. OUTSIDE BEHIND THE BUILDING A BIGGER CANTEEN ,PHARMACY AND RAJEEV GANDHI BIOTECHNOLOGY LAB IS AVAILABLE. ONLINE BOOKING IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTER AFTER 10.30 AM WHICH IS A MESS.......
