Amazing 3 fort trek Hargad, Mulher and Moragad. All these 3 forts are connected to each other. We had stayed at waghamba village in the night and next day morning we reached Mulher village at 8.30am. First trek through Mulher fort area and move right towards Hargad. You need to pass through a chana field before you start your vertical ascent to Hargad. Ideally take a guide as we found lot of people struggling to find the route. Hargad climb is the most testing one and full of endurance. We took 2.5 hours from base to reach the top. Top is a huge plateau full of long dry grass. There is a huge cannon on this fort which is the highlight of this place. You need to descend by the same route to move to the next fort which is mulher. Total trek time taken by us was 4 hours for ascend and descend.

Ways To Reach : Presently there exists only a single way to reach the fort-top. This path traverses through the village of Mulher. After leaving the village we reach a tar-road. A walk of about 20 minutes along this road brings us to a bifurcation. The way to the right, passing by a banyan tree, leads to a shepherds' colony on a hillock. At this point one has to turn towards right and reach the pass between fort Mulher and fort Hargad. This can be arrived in about an hour and half. From this pass, the way on the left takes to the fort of Mulher and the one on right to the Hargad. The trail leading to fort Hargad is not much in use and hence is not distinctly visible. An hour's time is sufficient to reach the fort-top from the pass. Accommodation Facility : There is no suitable place on the fort for an overnight stay. Food Facility : One should arrange for own foodstuffs. Drinking Water Facility : No drinking water is available on the fort-top. Time To Reach : It takes about 2 hours from the village of Mulher to reach the fort-top.

From Rameshwar Mandir you will see few entrances while going towards hargad fort. There are two ways to reach the top once you reach the point between Hargad and Mulher. The One on the right is very slippery because of scree and the other towards left takes you through the jungle. The right trail takes you directly towards Hazarbagadi cannon on the fort and a beautiful entrance on the way. The left trail takes you to the shiv mandir on the fort. There is no drinking water on the fort. You can do Hargad, Mulher and Moragad in one day.

Highest fort than mulher & moragad. Difficult to reach due to landslide. Don't try to trek in monsoon. Best time to visit hargad is September to January. On top of the fort one of the famous type of cannon (bangadi tof) is present. In between the trek route from mulher Machi to hargad there are lakes & temples present .
