Nathu La Nathang Valley is a mountain pass the Himalayas in East Sikkim district and has also helped in improving the border relations with China. The Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage distance is also shortened by the Nathula Pass. The Pass remains closed on Monday and Tuesday. Domestic tourists can visit the Nathula Pass in Sikkim on other day of the week.May to June best time to visit Nathula Pass and Indian require a valid protected Area Permit to visit Nathula.

Its a feeling to be at old silk route...but beware of O2 levels and snow fall.
One of the most beautiful attractions in the Old Silk Route. Looks awesome from distance and also from up close. Must visit en-route Gangtok via Tukla Valley.Shape of the lake is like an elephant - so it's another name is Elephant lake or Hati Lake. View is excellent. One can go by car available at Gangtok. Vehicle on share basis is also available.

Indo-China Border located in old silk route situated at 14500 ft approx. The place is open for tourist and you require to derive a pwrmit to visit this place. The place gets very chilly and temperature goes upto -25 degree more than. Before going to this place do cover up yourself with well woolen cloths. Mostly this place is closed during snowfall because tourist gets stucked. The whole area is controlled by our India Army. The roads are good and well maintained and beautiful nature view.
