Our mission is to increase mutual understanding between the citizens of India and China, by creating avenues for collaboration, building people-to-people exchange, and strengthening the capacity for cross-cultural engagement. We will focus on four areas of collaboration: 1. Education 2. Cultural Exchange, and 3. Issue-Based Collaborations. 1. Education We work with a consortium of universities to implement best practices increasing student exchange between the two countries. We also work with institutions in India to develop China Studies as a discipline, creating the infrastructure for in-depth analysis and understanding. 2. Cultural Exchange We leverage new media to tell human stories, sharing how people live their daily lives and celebrating the everyday cultures of India and China. 3. Issue-Based Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing We facilitate practitioner exchange and knowledge partnerships on mutually beneficial policy areas. The areas we are currently exploring are environmental challenges, vocational training, and agricultural reform.
