The International Cooperative Alliance-Asia and Pacific (ICA- AP) was established in 1960 in New Delhi (India) and is the Asia-Pacific regional office of the International Cooperative Alliance (Alliance). The Alliance is a non-profit international association established in 1895 to advance the co-operative model. It is the apex organisation for co-operatives worldwide, representing 306 co-operative federations and organisations across 105 countries (figures of November 2017). The members of the Alliance are national level co-operative federations, individual co-operative organisations and government offices concerned with co-operatives. ICA-AP serves 98 members across 30 countries in Asia and Pacific. It works through thematic and sectoral regional committees on youth, women, research, H.R.D., agriculture, forestry, credit and banking, university, consumers and trade.
