If you are in similar need as us to seek counselling- greatly wanting to feel understood and cared for, in bridging the gap between you & your partner, and trust a professional with your vulnerability, then SIMPLY RULE OUT \RUCHIKA KANWAL\ FROM YOUR LIST OF GOOD COUNSELORS. I only understand now why she makes her patients sign a waiver, giving up any rights at her clinic. She would be in complete control of what you should express or react to her insults. She would reprimand in a casual manner and you will feel that you just have to sit there and take it. Her guidance never accounted for helping us work out things; she would rather dissuade us from being with each other. She embarrassed me in front of my partner, making me feel bad for having faith in goodwill and larger capacity to love. I recognized that she was driving our therapy by her own social beliefs. I often felt she is clueless about counseling, because she would instigate conflict and then sit there smirking with a cup of coffee in her hand. Eventually, when I regained sense, I stop talking about the weekly incident at home and move on to something that felt less charged, and safer, which will NOT get some kind of adverse response. Although, she sent private messages sometimes, asking me to trust her; yet she kept letting me down in sessions. At one point, when due to economic reasons we did not want to take individual sessions, but she insisted two separate sessions -- that turned out to be quite destructive, as she was passing on negative feedback to us about each other: stirring complicated feelings. Later on, my partner also had the opportunity to experience a similar outcome with a different situation, where she also understood her strategy about prolonging our sessions. So this is how her epic \empathic failures\ during our 7 months of counselling sessions made us quit going to her at all.

Thanks to Ruchika mam, Megha Saklani mam and Manavi mam of Karma centre for Counselling and well being, for providing an opportunity to do internship. I have learnt skills in Clinical Psychology which was helpful in clearing papers in Clinical Psychology. They shown a better Knowledge in real time workshops and a NGO Visit. Good place and beautiful doctors. A glamorous and mesmerizing place. Doctors were caring and empathetic. My psychologist offered me good solutions and did not force anything on me. She was trained and qualified, unlike many other psychologists in delhi who have fake degrees. But it was far from my place and expensive so couldn't continue treatment there. I recommend this place for mental health problems. This place is an example that even female psychologists can handle female patients very well
