Parumala pally ( St. Peter's and St. Paul's Orthodox Syrian Church, Parumala) is a parish church of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.But all the caste people have allowed to enter the church. Most of the Hindus visit this church for praying. Parumala is a land on the shores of the river Pampa. Located in Mannar (in between mavelikkara and podiyadi jn). It is a large church which can accommodate more than 2000 worshippers. The church contains the tomb of St.Gregorious of parumala, who died on 2 November 1902 at the age of 54. Belief in his saintly qualities caused it to become a centre of pilgrimage. The festival of this Parumala church is held in November first week.People from many different places came to this church on foot on that days.
