Undoubtedly the fastest way to commute to the top of Palani hill temple. Normal tickets and Fast queue tickets are available. During normal weekdays the rush will be less for using the rope cable car hence you can go for normal tickets. During special occasions and holidays better go for Fast queue tickets (50/head). One car can accommodate 4 people.
Excellent service by Palani Murugan Temple admins. Very safe to travel - for a maximum of about 4minutes - from bottom to top of the temple and vice versa. Nominal fare of Rs.50/- to adults. Neatly maintained with hygiene. One can not have any fear to travel by this *Cable rope car service*...
Very secure and comfortable.. One of the easy way to go up as well as best way to see the aerial view of palani..It is very crowded some times have be in long queue to get inside but not always..This will open from 7 am and they will charge 50 rupees per person.. There is no parking inside and should Park the vehicles near by..
From 28.12.20, the rope car services at Palani have been resumed. At the entrance, tickets for up and down travel are issued duly collecting Rs. 100/-. It is a boon for the elderly people and physically challenged persons as they can not climb the stairs to reach the temple on top of the hill.
Cleanly maintained. Service is average.
Very well maintained and you can experience a good feel, you can enjoy the beauty of western ghats and the landscape of agricultural lands around palani. You can reach Hill temple Ropecar station was mostly crowded in weekends and holidays. In 2mins you can reach Hill up /down. Easy way to get.
It was a wonderful experience travelling in the rope care despite the fear-factor. not so high yet the fact that Indian safety standards are never too strong haunts you till you touch down. luckily, the experience of the descent alleviates all these queries from your mind and takes you through an exhilarating one of a kind experience in this temple town. Alternatively you could also try the winch almost diagonally opposite the cable rope car station across the hill - the winch is even more fearsome as the descent is too steep fear of a snap keeps coming again and again to haunt you till the journey is over.
