Ntangki National Park is a national park located in Peren district of Nagaland, India. Among the species that inhabit the park are the rare hoolock gibbon, golden langur, hornbill, Asian palm civet, black stork, tiger, white-breasted kingfisher, monitor lizard, python and sloth bear. The name "Ntangki" is derived from the Zeme dialect of the Zeliangrong tribe.
Nagaland is also known as the land of warriors. It is known for its unique cultural heritage and abundant natural resources as well. The Ntangki National Park in Peren district of Nagaland got the status and regard of a national park in the year 1993 and is a wildlife protected area. The geographical features of this park favour growth of equatorial forest and pastures. Trees like palms, rattan, bamboo, and Mahagony can be found in large numbers. The geographical features are also favourable for doing adventure activities, like camping and trekking. This is a forest which is also a known for many rare bird species and hence attracts a lot of bird lovers. Some of the rare bird species are black storks, white-breasted kingfishers, and hornbills. Bluth’s Tragopan the State bird of Nagaland is found in plenty. Great Indian Hornbill is another major attraction for people who love nature. The Ntangki National Park can easily be reached, as it has good connectivity both for rail and airway commuters. Dimapur has both a railway station and airport. Nagaland is also linked to Guwahati, Assam and thereby connecting rest of the nation by National Highway 39. The temperature in summer months ranges between 16 and 31 degree Celsius. Tourists prefer to visit the place during winters and this is the time when tourists love to take part in adventure activities. During monsoon the region receives heavy rainfall. There are circuit houses and PWD inspection bungalows available to tourists for accommodation. It is one of those national parks which is highly loved by the tourists and travellers.
