Rooms are better than cottages. Hot water available all the time. Food was good. Worth it.

NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! I just returned from my Uttarakhand trip. I have stayed several places in Uttarakhand during my festival vacation. I have most worst experience of this Holiday Home. First of all, they provided us very ordinary rooms instead of our booked "Bamboo Cottage". Only one caretaker or owner of this Home stay, Mr. Rakesh Rawat and a staff are there. But I see only the said staff was present for 2-3 times to inquire about our needs during our stay period. After entry in that Home-stay, the caretaker didn't present or look over our room situation. A lot of Spiders were inside our both rooms. I asked to change the room which I originally booked, but they said, that Bamboo Cottage wasn't prepared and lies in abandoned situation due to Covid situation. But my question, why they didn't prepare our booked cottages because my booking was 1 month prior to my journey for 2 Bamboo Cottages? Also, didn't notice any room sterilization liquid or any sanitizer bottle in this situation. It was good that we carried ourselves sterilization liquids and spray gun with Isopropyl Alcohol for our safety, unless we couldn't stay there. Our Dinner, that was the jokes for that day! Please see my photographs of their provided foods. We ate burnt rice at night. We were so shocked by his (Caretaker) lack of professionalism and bad attitude towards an important matter such as hygiene and safety crisis period. Their booking is conducting from Delhi through eUttaranchal.com portal. But Authority should go there and check about their property, which they offer for booking. I have also stayed their other Resort at Chopta/Dogolvitta, I have quite good experience than this property.

Adventure Factory

The temple is located on top of a mountain after a trek of 4 Kms through the jungle. Please carry your own water bottle since you will not get water on the top. Do not litter and do not carry disposable cold drinks and chips and other items and if you do please ensure to carry the same back. The place is beautiful and give a wonderful view of the Himalayas all around even though when we visited it was clouded but the sky opened a little later.

Well decorated place..and the peace is to die for..the peoples are veeeery nice..and a short trek to kartikeya-swami temple wil make your day. Climb for the temple in the early morning. Sunrise is to take your breath away. Very well awarded for the hard trek.
