Surrounded by a strech of grasslands this place is a true architectural master piece. Has various depictions of hindu Gods. Vishnu and his sculptures in the three realms (hell, heaven and earth) was truly a sight one shouldn't miss. Mythology and history lovers will love this place. Great for photographs.

Must visit place if you're in Patan. A walk to the glorious past. The moment I put my step on the original construction by Rani Udaimati I could reconnect myself to the past. Watching the sculptures ,I could assess how precisely the work would have been done by the artists. Sadly half of the sculpture work has been stolen but the one that remains makes me feel proud of my ancestry.

Great place to learn the history and its magnificence. It's architecture and the message is the sheer reason it's now etched in our currency note. A must visit at least once if you ever come to Gujarat.

Magnificent structure. Justifies its name as the Queen of step-wells. Very well maintained too. One see the lower floors in much better shape than the upper ones. Mostly due to erosion and lack of upkeep before it was “discovered “ around 1960. Though we didn’t take a guide but suggest one takes one to truly appreciating the monument.
