Its good during monsoon. Today is Feb 22, 2020; and there's very little water. Very rocky.
Wonderful you can spot langoor, monkey, deer, neel gaye, swan, crane and many beautiful birds.

This Sangama is the confluence of Kaveri and Arkavathy. The river is near empty in summers. Rainy season brings plenty of water. Mekedatu is across the river. To reach the other side you could walk if the water is less. Coracles are available when the water is full. Evenings are wonderful for photographing the sunset. The only stay option is probably the Mayura KSTDC. Weekends are crowded and the weekdays near empty.
