Road Trip Journey Of A LifeTime

It’s the best place to Visit in Monsoon. Although hiking takes a complete day as it’s the second highest mountain of Maharashtra. There are two ways to start your trek. One start from Salher village itself and other starts from Waghamba village. Place doesn’t have any lodging facilities but villagers are there to help in certain situations.

Amazing hiking place! Test you ability here! Kind request to everyone, Mountains are vulnerable, plastic use and throw is nothing less than a sin in today's world! Respect nature and nature knows how to respect you!!

Great view from high up above, literally can see horizon splitting, and that dark upper atmosphere kinda give it "Gravity"movie like feeling. Actually Salher is the tallest fort in Maharashtra and second highest peak of Maharashtra after Kalsubai.

Salher is the highest mountain in Maharashtra and second highest peak after Kalsubai. The trek from salherwadi takes around 3hours The view from top is breathtaking and simply marvelous. Tabletop land is available for pitching your tents. Ample of potable water is available for drinking and other purposes on the top.

Awasom fort. 2nd highest peak in Maharashtra. Close to Gujrat border. Caves are good for stay but be aware of mice. Fort can be accessible from 2 villages- Waghambe and Salherwadi. Total fort is having a 10 gates/doors.

Medium level trekking. This is the highest fort in Maharashtra. You can trek fort by three ways. 1. Waghambe Base village 2. Salher Base Village 3. Salher fort camp resort. You can stay at the top as there are many caves. It is very cold at night so go with proper equipments and goods. You must bring water with you. The natural water tanks are not in a good state, the visitors throws garbage in it. If you are going through the 2 or 3 route make sure you see the main door and the cave range. To see thia you need to go right from the lake situated at the middle 9f the fort.
