We had an amazing experience getting a surf lesson here. The instructor was patient with us and made sure our technique was proper. Did not expect to stand on the board on the first lesson but managed to do that. Kudos to the team!

These guys are pretty amazing in what they are accomplishing for the surf culture in Goa. Like most surf shops/schools/etc worldwide they are absolute lovers of the sport and bring a very relaxed and calm vibe that I always find very enjoyable. I have just rented a board once in a while, but always feel that they care and are ready to pass on some tips for improvement. The conditions in goa are very irregular; so to base all on MSW is not very useful. I just asked for the guys mobile phone number and checked in with them in the morning. Super kind and very helpful. Although I had great magical mornings with lovely waves sharing them with just a handful of people, it has to be said that Goa is more for beginners. You can catch some playful waves every few days or so, but be reasonable in your expectations. Besides that it is worth mentioning that surfing is a relative undeveloped sport in India; so there is not a huge amount of the latest equipment. That being said it shows real dedication by these guys to invest in and offer good equipment to learn how to surf or simple enjoy a couple of hours riding waves. Might you find yourself in Goa, like I do; then go and hangout with these guys to get the most out of this friendly coastline. One love, Jules.
I took 2 beginner classes with Salty soul and I absolutely loved it. The trainers were great and helped me become comfortable in the sea, taught me the basics with so much patience :) Being a solo traveller, I was slightly apprehensive about doing this activity alone, but the trainers were amazing and I never had to think about safety again since that first class. Also, the surf is also pretty great and completely safe for solo women travellers like me. Furthermore, the price quotes for surfing lessons are the best amongst the other surf schools in Goa. Do give it a try learning surfing with Salty Soul Surf, it it will be an amazing experience :)
Had a great time surfing in the morning - The instructors were super patient and clear with first timers such as me. Scenic views and the peaceful Mandrem beach added beautifully to the experience. Would recommend strongly!
Superb surf school in an awesome location with great instructors/coaches. I did a couple of weeks of lessons with Swap and he’s a super patient, detailed and passionate teacher. His passion for surfing and being in the water is evident from the moment you meet him and it comes through in his lessons. I was standing up from the first class and was catching my own waves in no time. The equipment used during lessons and for hire is of great quality as well. The surf shack is on a sweet stretch of beach on Mandrem and is perfect to kick back and chill after a session of surfing. Highly recommended! Wouldn’t go to another surf shop in Goa!!
Had a great learning experience with salty soul surf shack. My coach Alison was thoroughly professional and at the same made sure it's fun enough that I don't have a difficult time learning it from scratch. P.S: I caught my first wave which as per Alison is a great deal.
We had a mixed group of adults and kids. Swapnil set us up with a great surfing experience for the entire group and safety was well taken care off. We had some beginners and some who had surfed a few times before - the instructors really helped all of us have fun and improve. He went out of his way help organize a photographer as well. Superb!
I took the first beginners lesson. The experience was a lot of fun. And hardwork :) the trainers are very patient and professional. They let you take time get comfortable with the water and gradually help you do things step by step. It was my first time trying any water sports and I was scared in the beginning, but got the hang of it by the end. Must try ! Better yet, if you are around for longer, it's worth getting a beginner course with them.
