Its an ancient fort built by Maratha leader Chatrapati Shivaji at Shirala. Presently it's in ruins and the compound hosts a Shiv temple, a school and office of forest department.
It is good for watching Ch.Shivahji Maharaj history and it is historical place
Not things are present now but you can get protection wall of fort.
It is best place to visit. It is located in Shirala village. Good accommodation facilities are available. This fort is famous for very old tree called "Gorakhchinch". Very calm place. Blessed by nature.
