Nice place to visit during weekend. Located at around 50 KMS from Bangalore. Leave early to beat traffic and enjoy foggy view. Takes around one and half hours to reach top of the mountain. The view from the top is awesome. Nice trekking spot. Lot of monkeys on the way.

Nearly 60 to 65 km from Bangalore But ve aware of monkeys.. Thare are more monkeys. keep safe your products Although good place . Must try with your friends and family... Members..
Great experience. Comes in early so that you can start the trek at around 6. The place is covered in mist which provides a beautiful and errie experience. Avoid carrying any backpacks else you will be ambushed by monkeys who are audacious enough to climb on your back and search for the bag and pockets. Had a personal experience. Given there are plenty of shops selling food and drinks on the way backpacks are not required.
Mesmerizing view from the peak. It was very thrilling to trek though the very steep rocks. Great experience. Great place for one day trip. Start the trekking around 5:30am. There are many shops which offers tummy full of food in the route for genuine cost. Very nice people.

The best place to visit in the shivagange
Amazing place for one day trip, trekking was challenging but not difficult, wear good sports shoes and hand gloves for a safety climbing, shops are there to buy water and snacks try to avoid plastics there. Note: Good time to climb start 5 - 5:30 you can feel the fog at the peak.
Good place for a quick getaway from Bangalore. Place has only two restaurants for breakfast/lunch nearby. It's better to pack some on the go and beware of the monkeys, they are professionals out there
