This is one of the most reliable and responsible animal rescue shelter I've came across so far in Silchar which is run by all the young minds. They not only rescue animals and cure them, but also organize mass feeding for the strays in the city and promote adoption. All in one, my personal experience with them was really good. Don't breed or buy, while another shelter animal dies.

They have a prompt service, huge network and volunteers who no matter what time and place always rescue the distressed animals.
